What is REACH +?

The REACH + project fits in with the general pattern of a sustainable development policy for businesses. Its aim is:

  • To help SME businesses in Lower Normandy to anticipate the requirements of the REACH and sectorial regulations (VOC, toys, electrical equipment …) from the technological point of view,
  • To encourage them to start taking eco-innovation into account (Eco-technology, Eco-design, Eco-management, Industrial ecology).

The advisor in charge of the project interfaces between the company and organisations offering technical solutions (technical centres, laboratories, universities, companies, …), whether they be regional, national or European.

The advisor's activities cover a wide range, including: holding workshops on the substitution of chemical substances and the problems related to chemicals in general, providing preliminary diagnostics at the company's facility (substances, processes), providing assistance with technology transfers and in seeking eco-innovative solutions, and support in setting up a strategy to cope with these changes, and in accessing financial support.
